EVENT RECAP
The Silva Family Fundraiser brought 12 teams and 24 players together at Gene’s Bar & Grill for a day of doubles cornhole in support of Louis Silva and his family. After a devastating fire destroyed their home and belongings, the tournament gave the local cornhole community an opportunity to come together and help a family facing an incredibly difficult time.
Northern Minnesota Gnomes, Christopher Nix and Susy Nix, finished the tournament in first place. TNT, Shawn Lyberg and Cheri Lyberg, took second, while Coppershed Cornhole, Austin Monsrud and Jay Billberg, finished third.
By the end of the event, $625 had been raised for the Silva family. More important than the final standings was the support shown throughout the day, proving once again that cornhole can be about much more than competition—it can be a way to bring people together and help members of our community when they need it most.
THANK YOU
A special thank you to Gene’s Bar & Grill for hosting the Silva Family Fundraiser and helping provide a place for our community to come together for a great cause.
Thank you to every player, donor, volunteer, and supporter who contributed to the event. Whether you competed in the tournament, donated, helped throughout the day, or simply came out to show your support, you played a part in helping us raise $625 for the Silva family.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came together for Louis and his family during an incredibly difficult time. The support shown at this event is exactly what community is all about, and we wish the Silva family all the best as they continue rebuilding and moving forward.
