SEASON RECAP

The 2024–2025 Winter Singles League brought together 23 players for eight weeks of competition. With six games played each week, the season gave everyone plenty of time on the boards while the standings developed over 48 games.

The race at the top stayed close through the season. Chris Nix ultimately claimed the league championship with a 40–8 record, finishing just one game ahead of Jay Billberg and Shawn Lyberg, who both finished 39–9.

The season also produced several standout performances. Austin Monsrud and Kevin Wensloff tied for the most points scored with 987 each, while Shawn Lyberg and Dominic Stewart led the league with 57 four-baggers apiece.

More than anything, the league gave players of different skill levels eight weeks to compete, improve, and enjoy the game together, setting the stage for the End of League Tournament that followed the season.

Thank you as well to everyone who helped with setup, scoring, boards, and keeping the league running each week. The time and effort people put in behind the scenes helped make the season possible.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who continues to support and grow cornhole in Roseau County. Whether you were competing for the top of the standings or simply enjoying another night on the boards, every player was part of what made this league a success.
